open lecture: “what we saved from cave of forgotten dreams”2018, istanbul

An open lecture organised as part of the lecture “Expression of Ideas in Design Process” at Istanbul Arel University Interior Architecture Department. It was the final lecture of the semester and it aimed to share the manifest of the lecture and students’ experiences. It was held as part of IFI World Interiors Day 2018 with the theme “Design Without Borders”. The open lecture was inspired by Werner Herzog’s documentary film “The Cave of Forgotten Dreams”. A workshop for architecture students to have a different point of view for 2d images. 3d collages were produced from images at different magazines while questioning the massive image production in today’s world.

A workshop for primary students to introduce collage technique. Students at age of 9 produced collages with mixed techniques to represent how they see their neighbourhood.

A workshop for graduation project students of AGU University Architecture Department as part of “AGU Faculty of Architecture Design Week’18”. Students created works with different representation techniques to concrete their conceptual ideas as a starting point for their projects.

representation of emptiness, 2017, istanbul

A workshop on understanding the concept of “emptiness” and how to represent it as part of the 14th National Interior Architecture Meeting at Özyeğin University. An installation with different works which question various meanings of emptiness -rather than being lack or absent- was produced at the end of the workshop.

A workshop on imagination and representation as part of MEF University FADA Workshop Week. An installation which has different layers of senses, experiences, dreams, stories was produced by using different quotes from different books.

A workshop which was coordinated for architecture students. It aims to create an object of the moment. The creation process focuses on the material and designing the emptiness/ void.

the workshop, is it?, 2015, istanbul

A workshop which is coordinated for interior architecture students. It criticizes architecture and design process by producing only questions. It resulted in an installation which asks for people to answer our questions by asking new questions.

architectural impersonation, 2015, istanbul

A lecture resulted in an architectural platform which aims to interpret and impersonate the design process of “famous” architectural buildings to criticize massive consumption of today’s hip architectural images. Besides an exhibition, a seminar was given to share the process and approaches at the end of the process.
